Elan and Julien Fayard founded Azur, the first premium “methode provençale” California rosé, with the 2007 vintage. They became the first producer to bring the true and authentic provençale technique of rosé wine production to the United States. Azur rosé is comprised of grapes selected and harvested for dedicated rosé wine production. Rosé is in Julien’s blood, with a family that has been making rosé in Provence for over fifty years. His goal is to bring his family’s traditions and techniques to California and have Azur be considered the gold standard rosé of California.
